A Heartfelt Farewell to the 2024 Season at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm
Hey Friends!
As the leaves begin to fall, so too does our season at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm. It's bittersweet to share that we'll be closing the gates for the 2024 season on November 10th. It’s been a truly wonderful season, and we can’t thank you enough for every visit, every laugh, and every memory made here at Burt’s. The Lord has blessed our farm, and we’re so grateful for each of you who made this year so special.
But don't worry—there's still time to squeeze in a visit! And with the holidays around the corner, here’s a little hack to make your celebrations extra special: stock up on our pumpkin pies, rolls, and baked goods! These treats freeze well, making them the perfect addition to your holiday tables. Imagine the aroma of Burt's signature pumpkin pie filling your home on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day—what could be better?
As a thank-you to our incredible community, we're excited to share a special gift with you all: our treasured Pumpkin Pie recipe! We hope this recipe brings a bit of Burt’s into your home and a little extra joy to your holiday gatherings.
Burt Family's Famous Pumpkin Pie:
Ingredients:
1 cup of cooked pumpkin
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 pie shell
Instructions:
Mix sugar and flour together, add cooked pumpkin, milk, eggs, and butter. Mix cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves with flour and sugar. Cook on medium heat on stove, stir constantly to keep it from sticking. After the mixture becomes thick, pour into pie shell. Cook in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
From our family to yours, we hope you enjoy this Pumpkin Pie recipe as much as we do. May it add a touch of warmth and tradition to your holiday gatherings.
Thank you once again for a beautiful season. We hope to see you all this final week! And until next year, may this fall's memories carry warmth and happiness into your winter.
With love and gratitude,
